Scribmetric is a tool that estimates AI involvement in Turkish and English academic writing. This page explains which of your data is processed when you use the site and what we do with it.

The analysis tool

Text you analyse on the home page and files you upload are kept in the server's memory only while the analysis runs. They are discarded once the result is shown to you; they are not written to disk, not stored, not logged and not used to train the model. The rest of this page applies only to texts you choose to send from the "Contribute" page.

Texts you send as a contribution

What we record:

We do not record your name, email, institution or IP address. To prevent abuse, the IP address is held briefly in memory but never written to disk. If your text contains anything that identifies you or someone else (names, institutions, patient information and the like), please remove it before sending.

What we use it for

We do not sell your texts or use them for advertising. We will not publish the texts themselves as a public dataset without asking for your separate, explicit permission.

Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of your explicit consent under Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). The form cannot be sent without ticking the consent box.

How long we keep it and who we share it with

We keep it for as long as the project runs and as long as needed to evaluate its results. We do not share it with anyone other than the company that provides our server hosting.

Our server is run by Hostinger in a data centre in Düsseldorf, Germany. Texts you send as a contribution are therefore stored outside Turkey; your explicit consent in the form also covers this transfer.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your data is processed and to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, among others. From the browser you used to send texts, you can delete all of them yourself at any time with the link at the bottom of the contribute page. To request deletion from another device, write to us. Because we don't store names, we may need the first sentence of your text to find it.

Copyright

Only send texts that are yours or that you have the right to share. If you send published work, make sure your agreement with the publisher allows it.
